Engineering Design Process
Utilizing an Engineer's Notebook, students learn how to organize notes, drawings and documents in a gridded notebook. Students must keep an up to date table of contents and log every entry according to page number.
Then, students must brainstorm and design some sort of new age eating utensiil. These are a few brainstorm ideas.
Sketching
Students learn about Orthographic, Isometric and Perspective drawing. They use tools to make straight lines, and then communicate measurements through proper dimensioning.
Puzzle Cube
Students Design a puzzle involving 27 wooden pieces that solves into a 3x3x3 cube. They also much laser cut a package to contain the puzzle.

OnShape
Students are introduced to the CAD software, OnShape. They follow a few example problems to learn the nuances as well as the structure of the software.
They are then challenged to make a machine that converts linear motion into rotary motion. See the student project of a Bey Blade
